The benefits of using a homemade coffee scrub

Hello, my darlings. Today instead of coffee and makeup, we are going to focus only on coffee. I wanted to share with you the benefits of using homemade coffee scrub, and why I love it so much. First of all, lets just this by saying that I love my coffee, and I am not ashamed of admitting that I am a coffee addict. I can’s help it. I love everything about coffee. I love the smell, the taste, and that warm filing you get when you get your first sip if your freshly made morning coffee. But when I found out about the benefits of homemade coffee scrub, now I love it even more. So here are just some of the benefits of homemade coffee scrub.

1. Reduces Inflammation. This is great news for those suffering from breakouts, as the antioxidants in coffee can help soothe red and inflamed breakouts.

2. Packed with Antioxidants. Coffee can help fight free radicals and slow the aging process due to DNA damage.

3. Gently Exfoliates. Due to its slightly coarse nature, coffee – especially finely-ground coffee – makes an excellent defoliator. These granules help slough away dead skin cells and, although research is limited, has been said to help stimulate lymph drainage and increase blood flow. Both of these are beneficial when it comes to achieving glowing skin as well as for removing toxins.

4. Reduces Cellulite.

It turns out that caffeine may be one of the best contenders in the topical fight against cellulite.Aside from its ability to increase circulation – which can ultimately help smooth the appearance of cellulite – the caffeine in coffee has been tied to a lipolytic effect on fat cells.

5. Brightens Skin. Alongside its ability to increase circulation, topical java can quickly brighten your complexion when used in a mask or scrub.

6. Reduces Puffiness. This is because caffeine and various compounds like methylxanthine in coffee have a diuretic effect, which can aid in reducing edema, or swollen tissues due to excess fluid retention.

7. Minimizes Dark Circles. Studies have shown that topical applications of caffeine “increase the microcirculation of blood in the skin,” effectively pushing along stagnant blood from dark, tired eyes.

The benefits of coffee for the skin are extensive and are derived mainly from its natural antioxidant and caffeine content. So now you can enjoy your coffee without feeling guilty, and don’t forget to subscribe to my blog, because on Saturday I will be sharing recipes for homemade coffee scrubs, and you don’t want to miss that.
Until next time, my darlings, please stay safe, I love you, and I will talk to you soon.
XO
